These are pictures of the VFX protest this year from my friend Paul Rivera. Even in the rain, almost 500 people came out to protest the sad state of the VFX industry in a town were those effects have been indispensable to 49 out of the top 50 films ever made.
Pictured with Paul is Craig Barron - who was my wife's first employer at Matte World Digital almost a decade ago. Matte World shut its door shortly after working on (the award winning) Hugo.
